What’s New

The Panamera Sport Turismo rides on the same chassis as the standard Panamera sedan/hatchback. The new variant is neither longer nor taller than the Panamera sedan, but the elongated roofline does provide additional rear-seat headroom and a slightly larger cargo compartment.

Performance

The Panamera Sport Turismo features the same engine options under the hood as the regular Panamera sedan. The only difference is that all-wheel-drive is standard across the model range.

The base Panamera 4 is powered by a 330 horsepower V6. The Panamera 4S is motivated by a 440 horsepower version the V6 engine. The top-of-the-range Panamera Turbo is propelled by a 550 horsepower turbocharged V8 motor.

Porsche hybrid enthusiasts will be excited to know that the 2018 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo produces a respectable 462 horsepower. If that is not enough, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid produces a whopping 680 horsepower. Porsche claims that the top-dog Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo will be added to the lineup sooner than later.

Spoiler Alert

The Panamera Sport Turismo adds an extravagant and distinctively European vibe to Porsche’s top model. This model also features a distinctive roof spoiler. At lower speeds (up to 55 mph in Sport and Sport Plus modes) the spoiler is trimmed to decrease drag; above 55 mph, the spoiler automatically raises to reduce lift. Finally, when the panoramic roof is opened, the spoiler assumes a third angle, which reduces wind noise.

Pricing and Availability

The 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo will go on sale in the U.S. this fall. The base Panamera 4 starts at $97,250, the Panamera 4S starts at $110,250, and the Panamera Turbo starts at $155,050. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo starts at $105,050. As of this writing, Porsche has yet to announce the starting price for the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo.
