It has finally happened, Tesla fans in New Jersey can buy their favorite car without going to the dealership or out of the state. The ban against Tesla direct sales was enacted in April 2014, after a huge disapproval of this tactic from the state wide dealership network.
Important fact is that the bill is not exclusive to Tesla Motor Cars. In a statement provided by Gov. Christie’s office, it states that the new law is “giving manufacturers of zero emission cars, including Tesla, the ability to sell directly to New Jersey consumers at up to four locations in the state.”
So, based on the wording of the bill, it means all zero emission cars can be directly sold to the customers and not just Tesla. So, if you are interested in purchasing a zero emission vehicle in New Jersey without going to the dealership, then Gov. Christie has answered your prayer.
